Sunday is my lazy day. I usually slack off until the late afternoon. I get up, plop myself on the couch, and stay there as long as I possibly can. It’s the best feeling! I don’t even have to get up to adjust the thermostat… I have a smart thermostat that connects my HVAC system with my smart phone. I’ve been finding that on Sundays I use this feature a lot. I can’t help but laugh at myself. How lazy can a person get? I can’t help it, the only things I get up for is bathroom breaks and beer. I don’t want my system marred by regular thermostats. I don’t even need to get up for food. It comes right to the front door. I knew when I bought that smart thermostat for my HVAC system that I would love it. I know my wife was very skeptical at first, but now I know her worst fears about it have been confirmed. She’s called me lazy many times. It’s perfectly true. She can control the smart thermostat from her phone as well, so we will occasionally have phone fights over the temperature in the house… I’ll turn the heat up from my phone, then once it kicks on for a while, she’ll be too hot and turn it back down on her phone. We go back and forth like that sometimes five times a day until I’m forced to get up off my couch and go grocery shopping. I usually reward myself for this feat of mental fortitude by returning home as a grocery shopping champion and plopping right back down in my favorite spot. Ah sweet victory.
