My son has choir practice today–he consistently complains that every time he has choir practice in the days, the choir room is super sizzling and stuffy. All of the music rooms are located in the absolutely outdated section of the high school that hasn’t had any Heating, Ventilation, and A/C updates for ages. They don’t have any air conditioning in the outdated section of the building, however I know that they absolutely need it. They have been getting quotes from different Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies in town, however so far no one has won the contract yet. The high school has been working on raising the currency to put a modern Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan in the outdated section of the building and to also update the air conditioning plan in the newer section of the building too. I really do feel sorry for my son; it can be so difficult to pay attention and to concentrate on your studies when you’re overheated. It’s nearly impossible to stay awake in a sizzling room in the day without any air conditioning! He says that his choir teacher complains about the lack of A/C just about all the time. His teacher has even brought up the possibility of taking donations or holding a fundraiser just for going toward the purchase of a modern A/C – even if it’s only for a window component just for the choir room! I told him that I’d be glad to donate toward an air conditioning component for the his choir class room, because I just can absolutely empathize with being so uncomfortable in the heat.
