Assistance for HVAC

I have a brother who has learned things the hard way it seems all his life. Back in school, he messed up bad and had to repeat the 12th grade all over again, just because his grades were so awful! He was such an embarrassment both to myself and others and our parents! I don’t think it was because he was stupid at the time – well, not when it came to academics, though he wasn’t very motivated. He didn’t even attend college because he didn’t want to have to worry about student loans, or possibly failing and getting nowhere fast with some meaningless degree! We both have some friends who said even with their college degrees, they couldn’t find any nice jobs! I don’t blame him for worrying about that. I have an okay job without a degree, and that pays the rent and everything, but his job barely allowed him to get by, even with the place he rents being so low-rent if you know what I mean. He also ran into a pretty extreme issue when he failed to replace the air filters in the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C plan for his place. The system failed eventually, of course, and he called the landlord to take care of the problem. When the landlord discovered that he wasn’t bothering to change the air filters, he was yelling at my brother like a teenager! He was so mad – understandably so, because he had to call the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business to take care of this very overpriced and unnecessary repair! I felt bad for the landlord, though I also think he should’ve been telling my brother about Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C maintenance. I mean he could have told other tenants about it, and after that my bro would have taken care of it! Ultimately I don’t believe it was his fault, so it’s just another one of those things he had to endure instead of learning from example. When he eventually bought a place of his own, he learned to think a little bit about Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C maintenance before letting the HVAC system fall apart!
