When you’re used to living in the cold weather in the country, then decide to make a change, it can be quite crazy! We never had any kind of air conditioner in the house I grew up in! Every one of us didn’t have a central air unit, & we all didn’t even need a window air conditioner! We all were mainly distraught about the heating & how the people I was with and I were going to stay warm, since the hot & cold temperatures in the Winter season usually got down to the single digits at night – & sometimes in the daytime! When I got married to a guy from the southern section of the country, we both decided to live down there close to his family, and boy, was that a culture shock for me! Everything was so weird from what I was used to, & that included the burning hot & cold temperatures that southerners have to endure on an almost bi weekly basis, where I was used to Winter season hot & cold temperatures for several weeks a year, my hubby was used to harshly hot temperatures almost year round. I had to really get used to using an air conditioner & trying to get my house to be cold on purpose! Now, my hubby and I almost don’t ever need to use our gas furnace, however my HVAC needs have completely switched around. It’s really ironic how life changes over the years isn’t it?
