I am so lucky that my roommate found an amazing house for us in the neighborhood where we live. You see, we live on the outskirts of a major metropolis and it is great to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life at the end of the day. The area where we are living seems to feel like a community all of it own and we just love it here. In reality, each of these smaller neighborhoods has a distinct feel of it’s own. If you go about a mile from the house, you may feel like you are in little Italy, or even Chinatown. Anyway, I feel very comfortable where we are. In fact, I am so happy that I have applied to work from home. I can set up a home office and only have to in to work one day a week. The biggest obstacle is the fact that the room where I would be working has little access to the HVAC system and we will need to purchase a unit to supplement the heating and cooling. You see, I’m going to commandeer the basement as my new office and because it is a rented house, we can’t exactly make major changes to the house itself. I called a local HVAC dealer to find out all of our options for portable units and I was thrilled to learn that there were so many available. I am more concerned with having heat during the winter because during the summer, the basement is always cool and comfortable. The unit will not cost that much and I am really looking forward to working from home in complete comfort.
