Oh the joys of adulthood. I recently graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. My first major plunge into adulthood was purchasing my very first car. I did a lot of research, and I found just the car that would fit all my needs. The next step for me was leaving the nest. I knew it was time for me to find my own place and to stop being so dependent upon my parents. My friend Kay and I decided we would rent an apartment together to save money and spend more time together. All went well, and both Kay and I love our new landlord. The apartment was nice, but it needed some TLC. We got to work, and within a few weeks, we had created our dream house. Well, at least for the time being. All was going well until one early morning when I stepped in a puddle some strange liquid. I followed the trail to the source and found that the furnace was leaking some kind of brown liquid. Neither Kay nor I had any clue why or what it was leaking. We called one of our good friends Bobby. His dad was a HVAC technician, and Bobby had learned a lot from working alongside his father. Bobby looked at our furnace later that afternoon, but he couldn’t figure out what was going on either. He called his dad, and his dad promised to send one of his men over the next day. It turned out that our furnace had given up the ghost, and it was time to purchase a new one.
