Need our HVAC put in place

It is the season for the extreme rainfall as fall has just begun, but I don’t think anyone expected quite this much rain to start. It began yesterday and it just never easily stopped since then. We had a seven hour window of the sunshine being out which I used to let out the dog plus take out the trash for the day. The scary clouds took over the sky again plus continued their downpour. This bout of rain has been so intense that we’re dealing with a lot of flash flooding in my area. I’ve only moved here one year ago, and I had no idea that my house was even facing possible damage. That is until I went downstairs to begin a load of laundry, only to find my basement totally flooded with water. I couldn’t believe it! I had to buy a shop vac just to get the water out, but by that point the damage was done. There’s a smelly mildew aroma plus mud stains on my washer, drier, plus worse, my trusty old gas boiler. I was hoping it would be okay, although I called my heating plus air conditioner service man just to be safe, and sadly much love my washer plus dryer, I will now need to pay up for a new gas boiler. Luckily I’ve kept up with my service, so paying standard price for a new boiler plus replacement fees is not the major issue, but no, the concern is that almost everyone is flooded and needs Heating plus Air Conditioning work, so it’s going to take at least a few weeks just to get anyone out here. In the meantime, I’ll be shopping for a new washer on a budget.
