Even though the people I was with and myself enjoy chasing storms, there was a unique awful storm that ended up being particularly bad last week. This was certainly more than one storm together, and caused enough problems that we were hit with record splitting problems. The unique storm spawned thousands of tornadoes in our area, and the people I was with and myself were in fear for our lives and our home. More than one small tornado was spotted about 15 miles away from our home, and the people I was with and myself were worried that our home would become disfigured. We were certainly lucky never to see a big twister in our area, but several down trees caused the power grid to be out of commission for days. The people I was with and myself certainly missed being able to use the furnace. It was more than cold at night, and having no furnace was certainly no picnic. The people I was with and myself dealt with the lack of electricity for 3 days. When the power certainly was restored to our apartment, the people I was with and myself were thankful to turn on the furnace and get the Heat going. The people I was with and myself have never seen these types of storms so close to our home, and it was actually a pretty scary thought. I will never look at a storm the same way, after seeing the type of damage it can do to our neighborhood and power grid.
