I have been teaching in pre-universities for 20 plus years now! I love our task. Teaching young children is entirely an honor. But there are most legitimately strenuous situations to deal with… One time, there was a student that thought it would be a funny prank to change the university’s control device to 90 degrees. It got so warm in the building that every one of us had to evacuate the children outside. None of the faculty could figure out why it got so warm all of a sudden. The A/C control device is normally set to 68 degrees to keep the university at a cool temperature. Finally every one of us evaluated the control device and saw that the heat was on. When this student changed the setting, he did not realize that it would overload the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C idea and the whole A/C device would conk out. That’s exactly what happened. So now, the whole university building was out of air conditioning. Both of us had to hire an outside Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation to come repair it. He told us that the control device needed to be substituted, which made sense. It was an aged building and an aged system. He said that our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device was easily aged and would soon need to be substituted as well, but that it would last us until the summertime time. It would be easier to do that repair when the children were out of university on summertime trip. After having to send the children apartment for the day, every one of us finally restored the air conditioning in the building. The next day every one of us were on the search for the culprit of this evil plot, who ended up getting suspended for a week.
