There is nothing like being a first time mom. I never realized how much having just one baby could change my life. For one, I never get enough sleep, but there are so many good sides to being a parent that quickly outweigh the bad ones. My precious little daughter, Allie, is such a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle, and make people laugh. I love her so much, and I don’t even remember what life was like without her. She has truly been a good baby, but she is picky about one thing and that is sleeping. She won’t sleep anywhere except in her crib in her bedroom. That may sound like a good thing, but it’s really not because there are many times when we are not at home, and Allie is super cranky but won’t go to sleep. Not only does she have to be in her crib in her room, but she also has to have the air conditioning on. This is a rather new thing, but she simply won’t sleep without it on. It started about a month ago when I put an air conditioner in her room because we had an entire week of really high temperatures, and her room was really warm and stuffy. Once the temperatures cooled down, I stopped turning the air conditioning on, but Allie just wasn’t having it. She cried and cried until I turned the air conditioner back on. I really hope this is just a phase because I don’t want to have to run the air conditioner in the middle of the winter. Motherhood is awesome, but it can be challenging at times especially if you have a picky baby.
