Checking over the heater and a/c plan

It was time for my annual review work last week, I was an uneasy wreck, and everyone–including the managers who have to create the reviews–hates getting their annual performance reviews done! I know it’s an annoying, painstaking process, no matter how you end up doing it. When your salary & a possible raise are on the line with your review, it is naturally going to make you know nervous. Then well, as if I wasn’t uneasy enough already, the a/c in our office went on the blink last week… There was no cool air blowing in through the air vents at all; the whole air conditioner plan stopped functioning. The temperature outside was a record breaking high last week, & so of course that made the indoor air quality less high quality than it normally would have been. I was all dressed up in a suit & tie & as you know, suits & ties aren’t exactly the coolest articles of clothing! So between the suit & tie, the lack of a/c, the high hot & cold temperatures outside, & the stress from our annual review, I was covered in sweat bullets! Stressed out beyond belief with sweat dripping off my nose, I actually felt like an idiot going into our boss’s office. I was praying for the a/c to kick back on, but of course, the Heating & Air Conditioning plan was completely down for the count for the whole week! My boss finished up her evaluation, & while I didn’t get a huge raise, I was glad to hear that she was planning on getting the air conditioner fixed the actually next afternoon!
