Feeling your pain

Being a physical therapist can be a really tough job.  Many of my clients come to me when they have been involved in some sort of traumatic event that has left them with an injury that is devastating. Whether it is a car accident, surgery, or a fall on the ice, the road to recovery can be long and difficult.  One of the tools of the trade that I use is the heated therapy pool that we installed a few months ago. The sales rep that came out was really great, but, not as great as the HVAC technician that came out to install the heating system. You see, in order for heated aqua therapy to be effective, you need to make sure there is a smooth transition from the air to the pool.  If there is a sudden shock entering or leaving the pool it can cause a person’s muscles to tense. This completely negates any progress that my client would have made and put us back at square one. The technician that installed the heater for the pool and the room made sure that I could easily adjust the temperature to the exact degree I needed to make the best of each session. The warm water helps to relax the muscles and relieve any tension.  Being in pain from any incident can be debilitating. I make it my personal mission to make every patient able to live as pain free and stress free as possible. I guess I never really considered that an HVAC company and knowledgeable technician would make such a difference.
