I’ve always been a stickler for following the rules and people say it’s a frustrating trait that I have, but more than 2 of my coworkers love my lawful nature. My family, on the other hand… well, they’ve said on more than once that they wish I’d relax a little! I think that’s what happens when a Navy man comes back house to live as a civilian, huh? Anyhow, my family plus I live in a cozy little house. Despite the fact that I don’t adore my youngsters, playing with the thermostat whenever they guess too hot or too cold is not cool! When my son tells me it’s too hot and he wants the air conditioning to run, I tell him to open a window or sit under a ceiling fan! When my daughter says it’s freezing inside the house plus wants the oil furnace to turn on, I remind her that she is fully capable of wearing a overcoat indoors! I guess they’re just youngsters and they don’t know differently, but it’s best to make sure they understand the importance of the thermostat plus how it keeps our home bearable. My partner had grown exhausted of my policing ways, so she decided to buy a smart thermostat for the house. She explained how the smart thermostat tracks our heating plus cooling usage, then builds a run schedule based on those habits. That sounded pretty neat, despite the fact that I didn’t trust the device to leave the heating or cooling equipment alone! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the smart thermostat was entirely allowing our bills to stay low, even though we were running the air conditioning and heating systems more often. That just goes to show you how technology can do something better than I ever could!
