I have gotten way too hot

My wife and I have lived in the same house since the late 90’s. While we’ve enjoyed the four-bedroom home and raising a family of six within its walls, we were ready to move on and leave the house after all the kids moved out two years ago. It was then that my wife and I agreed upon a five year plan to sell the house and move out! The plan was mostly a timeline of renovations around the house that would increase the value of the home. In the past two years, we’ve renovated the kitchen and both bathrooms, and we’ve also applied new paint to every room in the house permitting. Before going any further though, we want to make some significant changes to our heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. After having a licensed contractor sweep through our system to look for repairs, he found that we needed to replace a few segments of the ductwork before any new features could be added. Once the ductwork is repaired, we plan to install zone control thermostats in the house. This will allow individuals occupying various rooms to have the temperature of that room set to whatever they’d prefer! To further advance the home’s appliances, we want to make sure each thermostat can sync with the home’s wifi network. Doing this will allow users to adjust the temperature setting remotely, either with a phone, tablet or laptop! We also wanted to look into the installation of a mini-split ductless system for the garage, so future occupants of the house could use the garage space as a home gym, or a comfortable workshop. Either way, we’re going to make sure the resale value of this house is through the roof – literally!
