The fireplace is blocked

This year is entirely the most vital Christmas of my entire life. For the past 5 years or so, I’ve absolutely calmed down my cookie baking, elaborate gift wrapping, plus spending in order to focus more on being a financially responsible adult for the remainder of the year. This year, however, Christmas isn’t about adults, and it’s all about my step-son, who will be coming up to spend the holiday month with us for the very first time! The people I was with and I are so excited, but it’s also a bit stressful. There is absolutely a lot of pressure to make the holiday a superb one, since we’ll have a little one running around the household. That’s why I’ve been working so much to get the house in a festive mood lately. I knew that the tree was important, as were the lights plus garlands, but the most festive decoration is the wood burning fireplace. I’ve wanted to use the little fireplace for at least a month already, but the people I was with and I have an organizational complication at our household; the TV is currently resting in front of the fireplace, rather than being mounted above it. Yes, of course the people I was with and I consistently intended to transfer the TV above the woodburning stove, but the people I was with and I just never got around to it since we have moved. Instead, we’ve relied on the boring old central heating. Now, we’ve run out of time to actually mount the TV safely away from the fire plus heat of the fireplace, plus have to find an alternative solution… At first I was pretty concerned about the alternate heating conundrum, but I came to realize that it’s absolutely a positive thing… We’ll just have to put the TV away in the attic so the people I was with and I have access to the warmth of the fireplace. What better way to ensure the people I was with and I have a festive plus fulfilling family holiday than removing the entire temptation of watching TV?
