After living in the house for two years, I have noticed a lot of issues with the indoor air quality. When we first moved in the house, the HVAC unit worked great. The house was always cool and crisp in the summer, even when the outdoor temperatures were in the nineties. In the winter months, our place was always warm and cozy. I never noticed much dust on the household surfaces, until just recently. The indoor air quality is less than appealing. I decided it was time to contact the local HVAC contactor, and have our system investigated for possible problems. The HVAC provider came over yesterday, and performed a twenty two point inspection on our heating and cooling system. They probed the electrical system and the mechanical system, checking for any possible defects or problems. They checked the ventilation system and our HVAC ducting. That was when they discovered the source of our air quality issues. The main ducting system had several holes, and there was two spots where the ducting wasn’t attached anymore. We had the HVAC provider fix the issues with our ductwork. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in the air quality yet, but I hope this ductwork service will do the trick. It would be nice to have lower energy bills and better air quality in our house.
