I’ve been assisting my grandparents rebuild their house – and their lives – for nearly a year. See, when the hurricanes came up over the Summer and devastated the gulf, it ruined countless lives. Many around here lost their homes, and some sadly died. As hard as it was for my grandparents to come back home after the hurricane only to find their home completely leveled, I was quick to remind them that they were still alive and still together. I’m optimistic like that. Anyway, I’ve made a lot of connections over the years while working as a plumber, and I’ve worked alongside countless contracting firms that provided services including plumbing, reconstruction, demolition, and even heating, ventilation and cooling services. This one contractor named Bill was one of the best connections I ever made! Not only is he incredibly skilled with all things pertaining to HVAC units, but he’s extremely fair with his pricing and will work with any customer to make sure they can afford his services. When I told Bill about what my grandparents were going through, he was quite saddened by their tragedy and genuinely wanted to help in any manner he could. He insisted I introduce him to them, and upon meeting, he was quick to offer them many different services to help with rebuilding their house. He said they could go with a central forced-air system like they possessed before, or they could try using an air source heat pump to cool their house even more efficiently. Additionally, he even offered to lend several window-mounted a/c units to them for use until the HVAC system was fully installed. There’s not many contractors as genuine as Bill, and I know my grandparents appreciated his efforts greatly!
