It seems love I can never get my room cool enough. I live in a 2 story house, & the 2 home offices of the loft are both on the upper level of the house. I know that it stays warmer up there because the warm air rises & fills those spaces, but my air conditioning system shouldn’t have such a hard time overcoming that. Occasionally I even have a hard time getting to sleep at night because it’s absolutely uncomfortable for myself and others when I get too warm. To repair this problem, I guess that I’m going to go & buy a portable a/c soon. These are pretty small, box shaped units that can be sited someplace in a home. I guess that putting one next to my bed would be a great idea because it would keep some cool air blowing directly on myself and others throughout the night. A friend of mine recently tried to dissuade myself and others from getting one of these because they said that they tend to be noisy. That doesn’t seem love a complication to myself and others because I love having some background noise while I’m sleeping. It’s comforting to myself and others for some reason. My only concern is that the portable air conditioning system might run my power bill up a little bit. It absolutely shouldn’t be a long term solution for me. Instead, I should absolutely get an Heating & A/C serviceman to see if there’s anything that can be done to make my air conditioning system more efficient. Still, for now, I need a quick fix, so I’m going to give it a try!
