When it’s hot and humid outside, I don’t feel like doing anything. It’s hard to get out of bed, when the temperature is 92 degrees at nine in the morning. Our A/C unit runs and runs all day long, but our house never feels very cold. The A/C unit is well-aged, and it doesn’t remove the humidity like it should. When the temperatures are in the 90s, I don’t even like to leave the house. I just lay in front of the ceiling fan, with the oscillating fan on high. The A/C unit barely helps with the heat, unless we are standing directly under an air vent. The heat makes me feel irritated, frustrated, and angry. My wife thinks I am a real grump, when the outdoor temperatures are above 90 degrees. I try not to be so upset when it is hot, but my body doesn’t adjust to the temperatures very well. Each year, it seems like the summer temperatures get hotter and hotter. I prefer the colder, winter temperatures. My favorite time of the year is Fall and winter, and I wish it was fifty degrees all year around. My wife and I don’t even use our furnace in the winter, because we can both bear the cold. Since we live in an area with very warm weather, the winter temperatures are hardly cold. We haven’t seen any winter precipitation in two decades, and the freezing weather only last a few hours. Even when we have frost at night, it’s gone before the sun comes up in the morning.
