I am swapping out all of our old windows for new ones. I am choosing to do this 4 windows at a time and that will help me with our energy saving tips. The newer windows are much more energy efficient. My window replacement will take me at least a full year, because I won’t be changing out all the windows at the same time. Once this process is complete, I will be saving even more on the utility bill since the newer windows will not be leaking or allowing so much sunlight to come into the house. I realize that the cool air, sent throughout our home by the air conditioner is escaping somewhat through those leaks and the whole thing is causing our Heating and Air Conditioning component to overwork. I had a chimney sweep come by recently and they replaced the chimney damper for the fireplace, too. It seems that this whole summer, our air conditioning has been going right up our chimney and leaving our house. I will, continue to use the fireplace in the winter to help heat our home, however during this time of year, I’m glad to rely on our air conditioning system to keep me cool all day. I set our control component at ideal temperature, and it works for me for the summer. It is getting more pricey to keep the air conditioning system on everyday, so I am determined to get our home into a more energy efficient mode. That will require the guidance of a professional Heating and Air Conditioning provider.
