I spent so long trying to decide on the cooling plan I wanted for our home. In the end, I settled on a high velocity air conditioner. It was easy to install because the duct work was bendable and could fit in the slats of our walls. It only uses one unit, but it controls the cooling for our entire home. At the push of a button, I can have air conditioner cool down the house in a matter of minutes. At first, I considered getting central air, but this required an HVAC duct upgrade. However, this would have required us to strip down our entire walls down to the bare bones. On a house as old as ours, I worried that this was too much work to go through just for air conditioning. Then, I considered a ductless mini cut air conditioning; But, then we would need to have numerous indoor air handlers and temperature controls in the house. Yes, I would have Heating and A/C zone control. But, I didn’t want to care and clean that many units… Anytime something goes wrong, it could be with any unit. I also think the cooling upgrade with a ductless mini cut is quite considerable. After a lot of research, I think I made the right decision.
