For years now, I have watched my neighbor bring home pets like cats and dogs. After that, my neighbor began bringing in possums. She would show them off to us on the block. We never absolutely thought too much of it and thought they were something temporary… But it did not stop there. She began trapping city squirrels and rats in a cage in her backyard. I never went inside her home, as I can only imagine what it must have looked and smelled like… One morning, I observed an Heating plus Air Conditioning tech truck parked in front of her house. I saw the Heating plus Air Conditioning repairman installing a modern HVAC device outside. I went over as well as asked the tech if she had any free time to look at my ductwork before she left, as I was interested in updating my HVAC unit, too. She did then we made an appointment for the following week. That night, I awoke to screaming from people on the street. When I opened the blinds, I saw my neighbor’s house on fire. The firetrucks plus ambulances were parked outside, spraying the apartment with hydrant water. Animals scurried everywhere. And they took my neighbor away on a stretcher. I found out later that my neighbor was actually ok and fine. And the cause for the fire was that 1 of her pet squirrels made its way inside of the new Heating plus Air Conditioning device outside then nibbled at the wires, causing it to catch on fire.
