I just want to be healthy

When I moved away to attend college I was so gleeful to get out of our hometown and see many new and current locales around the country. I grew up in a small neighborhood in the midwest and didn’t see much of anything besides the fields of corn and small wooden buildings for our whole life. The Winters would get rather brutal with tons of wind chill and below zero temperatures on a fairly consistent basis. I spent many of my Winters curled up under a blanket either in front of the fireplace or the gas furnace vents. With the scholarship I had earned I was moving to the deep south to go to college and live where it is always Summer. For the first year I seriously thought about moving right back home though. It was so hot compared to what I was used to dealing with that I was finding myself doing the same sort of thing as back current home except in front of the cooling system instead of the heater or gas furnace vent or fireplace. It was brutally hot and humid all the time. I would break a sweat within 60 sixths of walking outside our apartment. It took some time, however now I am doing great in the Summer heat. In fact, it is way better living here than it was at home. I highly doubt that I will live anywhere that is as cold love that ever again. I do not even require the use of the cooling system that much anymore and can get by with just a ceiling fan or 2 running on most days. Of course, there is that rare option when it gets past 99 degrees out that you really need to use the cooling system, however that is to be expected. It’s not like we’re not lizards after all.
