I love the Fall

Of all the seasons, Fall is by far my family’s favorite.  The changing colors of the trees and the leaves falling everywhere are such amazing things to experience.  I’ve always loved raking up huge piles of leaves to jump into and scatter back all around the yard, and throwing them up into the air pretending it’s raining beautiful colors.  Fall days are the perfect temperature too, a nice cool, crisp breeze but clear sunny skies to keep you just warm enough. The only downside to Fall is when the sun goes down, and that breeze starts to bite at you and send you into fits of shivers.  Heading in at night to a nice and warm home for some cocoa and a movie is almost as great as the Fall days. Unless of course you forget to have your heater serviced before having to switch it from blasting cold air for the summer to heating things up.  That terrible burning smell can fill the entire house in minutes, making you nauseous and concerned that the house is going to catch fire. Two years in a row, we made this mistake and ended up having to switch the heater off and just use the fireplace to stay warm for the night.  Although it’s nice to have the family camped out together in the living room, curled up by the fire, we all prefer the comfort of our own beds. We make it a point now to schedule regular services for our HVAC unit to avoid these issues and keep our house comfortable throughout the changing seasons.
