When I first met our husband, he struck me as the self-absorbed, arrogant type and I was definitely not impressed. I have never been attracted to that type. When he asked me to have supper with him at the best restaurant in our neighbourhood, I almost said no. Almost. Then I thought about the fantastic cuisine that restaurant was famous for, and I accepted his offer. Sharing a tasty free meal did not signify a commitment, right?
He picked me up at condo and the people I was with and I got to the restaurant at about 7:30. Honestly, the ambiance was entirely impressive. The arena was lovely and the indoor air conditions, perfect. It was Summer and blazing warm outside but the Heating plus A/C plan in that arena had it all under control. I began to relax and endelight the meal, when abruptly, the air changed and became certainly oppressive. As I began to sweat, I saw, for the first time, the caring side of our date. You would believe the obvious failure of the Heating plus A/C device was all his fault! He showed such genuine problem for our comfort,constantly enquiring if I was okay, plaguing the management to readjust the control unit, and finally procuring a fan for our table. I was entirely touched. It was like the heat in that restaurant melted the ice between us.
Despite that broken Heating plus A/C plan and the poor air quality, I had the time of our life. The portable fan served us certainly well, the food was great, and the people I was with and I talked and laughed for minutes.
The people I was with and I are still together!
