The cool air is always leaking out

Ruth and Greg recently moved into an apartment.  It’s located in a rural town, without too much city life and with tons of bushes and plants. One of the ideal things is it’s close proximity to the places of business. Instead of a long commute to and from the store each morning, Ruth and Greg can walk or ride their bikes each day.  They save gas money, plus gets lots of extra exercise with their bikes. Ruth loves spending the extra time at the house too, and enjoys seeing the nature in the town each day as well. However, Ruth and Greg live in a warmer weather area. So, it can get pretty hot. Even riding bikes will cause my friends to sweat by the time they get back home.  The best part of the whole thing is occasionally when they are walking back into the air conditioning of the home after being out in the warm sun. my friends will both stand in front of the air conditioner vent and bask in the cool air. On the last day of the hot season though, upon returning home, Ruth opened the front door to find it wasn’t quite as refreshing as typical.  The thermostat was set to 61 degrees, however the temperature inside was over 81 degrees. Greg went and checked the cooling system, only to find it was unhappy and sputtering to keep up. Greg immediately looked up his local Heating, Ventilation plus A/C provider and gave them a call, but they couldn’t come for another 2 days.
