My Uncle Tony has to be one of the greatest HVAC technicians there is! Whenever I ask him, he will always take me on his work assignments. While my brothers and sisters always prefer to go do their own things like play video games or goto the mall, I always prefer to go out and work on HVAC systems with my uncle. I have learned so much from him and he appreciates having me along because I am genuinely helpful. I realize that it must be nice to have an assistant because it makes the work go by faster. It’s really a win-win situation because I get to learn all this cool stuff about heating and cooling machines, while he gets a little extra help. He even pays me a little bit of money for what I do when I go out on work assignments with him. I have talked to him about it and he says that he thinks I will make a really great HVAC technician myself one day, maybe almost as good as he is. He always has those cool ways of making people laugh. Well when I became older and graduated from high school, I decided to go for my dream career. I got into a nice trade school that had an HVAC program. Within 6 months I would be able to become a certified HVAC technician, if I worked hard at it! It definitely wasn’t going to be easy, but then again, there was a lot of stuff I already knew from all my experience with working with my gifted uncle. When I finally became certified, my parents threw a major celebration for me and my uncle gave me the best gift! I got all the tools I needed to work on the job!
