I have been having a lot of difficulty with bronchitis this year. I have already had three bouts of bronchitis and I’m afraid that I’m coming down with it again. I don’t understand what is going on. I have had my HVAC system totally cleaned and sanitized. I spent the money to have a dehumidification system and a UV air purification system with a HEPA filter. This was supposed to make it easier for me to breathe and to not get sick as often. I had my air handler checked out and the coils were sanitized. I don’t know what else I can do. My wife is beside herself and I am frustrated. Last week, we sat in the living room relaxing, and the air conditioning came on. Within minutes, my throat was closing up and I was feeling horrible. I got up and went to lay down. My wife thought this was kind of odd and told me she had been seeing this reaction for a while now. I looked up at the air vent, and I had a thought. I went and got a screwdriver and I opened the air vent. Wouldn’t you know it, but the air vent was filled with mold. I was going to clean it, but I didn’t want the mold all over me. I called the HVAC company and asked for a certified ventilation cleaner to come and clean all of the ductwork and the air vents for me. My wife and I took off and went to a hotel for a couple of days.
