I currently have an seasoned natural gas furnace that I am not ecstatic with. Because of the extremely cold plus long winters where I live, I rely on the furnace for half the year. The furnace is not energy efficient plus seems to run always. Despite setting the thermostat as low as possible, I spend a fortune on monthly monthly bills. Every time the furnace starts up, it rattles plus screeches, then blows a tremendous amount of dust from the vents. I continually need to vacuum plus dust, plus there’s often an oily film on the windows from the gas. The heated air blows from the supply vents plus then rises straight up to the ceiling. There is extreme temperature stratification, which leads to discomfort. Plus, I suppose the ductwork is leaking because some rooms are constantly warmer than others. Eventually, I will need to upgrade the furnace with a brand new, more efficient system. I am distraught about safety concerns plus health risks from contaminated indoor air conditions. I wish I could afford to tear the whole furnace plus ductwork completely out plus switch to a boiler. Boiler heating is far superior to a forced air system. A boiler uses water to trans athletic activity heat energy. Water heats up more suddenly plus retains heat longer, making a hydronic system far more energy efficient. Plus, this type of system is totally silent, doesn’t add any contaminants into the air, plus maintains a legitimately even temperature. It is also easy to set up a boiler for zone control, allowing personalized temperature settings in each room. There’s no need to heat empty rooms, plus the temperature can be adjusted to meet various requirements.
