My brother Dennis has owned his own heating and air conditioning business in our hometown for the past thirty years. Before that, our dad owned the same business. As a matter of fact, this heating and air conditioning company has been a family owned and operated business for over fifty years now. They are the most well known and trusted HVAC business in a tri-county area. My brother Dennis works with his sons, my nephews, and they carry a complete line of quality products for their business. They offer high efficiency air conditioning and gas furnace units at reasonable rates, along with offering all kinds of maintenance and service work. Right now, since summertime is upon us, my brother Dennis is offering some special deals for his customers. He’s giving out coupons left and right for half price central air conditioning tune-ups. He tells people that this cooling preventative maintenance safety check will include things like checking and adjusting the A/C fan belt, checking the refrigerant charge, checking bearings and filters, checking the condenser, and checking the drain. He also is offering to have his HVAC technicians check the operation of the thermostat and complete A/C system at their customers’ homes for no additional charge. I don’t really know if Dennis knows what he’s doing by giving away all of these coupons. Having a complete A/C tune-up at the beginning of summer seems like such a great deal that he might be overrun with customers! Dennis might be getting more than he bargained for at the prices that he’s offering.
