Updating the thermostat situation

My hubby and I recently made some inexpensive updates to our current home that have made a immense improvement in comfort, budget and energy efficiency.  The people I was with and I hired an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C corporation to take a close look at the heating and cooling proposal and make some recommendations.  The people I was with and I wanted to make sure the oil furnace and cooling system were finally working at maximum capacity and hopefully, trim our biweekly utility bills a bit.  After inspecting the heating and cooling equipment, the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman recommended that the two of us install a smart temperature control and zone control.  This project was not all that expensive, and has genuinely paid for itself in energy savings. A series of valves were inserted in the ductwork to regulate the amount of heated or cooled air delivered to the various rooms.  The people I was with and I no longer need to maintain 1 temperature throughout the whole house. Independent temperature controls allows us to customize the temperature in each room. The people I was with and I avoid paying to heat or cool empty rooms to the ideal temperature, and family members can customize comfort in their study rooms to personal preference.  Plus, the Wifi temperature control allows access to settings and programs from virtually somewhere. With a tap of our finger on our smartphone, I can genuinely raise or lower temperature. If our schedule changes and our family is kept away from current home longer than expected, I adjust the temperature control to conserve energy. If the family room feels a bit overheated, I can target cooling to that certain room without affecting the rest of the house.  The upgrade into Wi-Fi connectivity and zoned control have lessened strain on the oil furnace and cooling system while improving overall comfort.
