I have a natural gas furnace installed into my home. It relies on a duct plan to carry heated plus cooled air between the furnace plus the rooms of the house. The conditioned air passes through the ducts, picking up dust, bacteria plus other contaminants, plus then is introduced via vents cut into the ceilings. These pollutants are circulated throughout the home plus breathed in by my family. Because the heat is introduced from overhead vents, the warmest temperature is always up near the ceiling, where it does no wonderful at all. Down by the floor, the air is often rather cold, forcing me to raise the control device setting. The furnace then blasts a tremendous amount of overheated air, continuing to work until the control device setting is achieved. It then shuts completely off, creating unquestionably unpleasant temperature variations. This process is loud, aggravating plus extravagant, but the furnace requires frequent repair. I need to update the air filter every month plus hire a professional Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialist to repair the device every fall. I also need to worry about the condition plus upkeep of the duct system. If there is a problem with the furnace, I am always nervous about potential carbon monoxide poisoning. I wish I could afford to tear the duct plan plus furnace completely out plus update them with a hydronic gas furnace. I’d love to install a boiler in the basement plus radiant heating under the floors in every room. Radiant heated flooring is completely noiseless, requires little repair, plus the heat originates at floor level. It rises unquestionably slowly plus evenly, with the warmest uneven temperatures remaining closer to the ground plus allowing lower control device settings. There are no drafts or chilly spots, plus radiant heating doesn’t introduce contaminants into the breathing air.
