A promotion and a raise

Last summertime, I had some troubles with our cooling system.  The cooling system is rather old, and we were experiencing unusually warm as well as humid weather.  The cooling system was running non stop and was struggling to keep up with demand. The cooling system ended up quitting in the middle of the night.  The following morning, I called our respectable Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier for repair. Because of the heatwave, as well as the multiple troubles with cooling systems in the local area, they were completely booked.  They could not offer an appointment for over a week. I then started reading reviews of the other Heating, Ventilation and A/C companies in town and contacting all the 1s which were highly rated. None of them could provide an immediate appointment.  I then settled for an Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier with rather questionable reviews. People claimed that this particular business never showed up on time, tracked dirt through the house and failed to clean up discarded component or materials.  I figured I could live with awful customer service, however I was unwilling to go without a good working cooling system. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following morning. I was rather surprised when the Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker showed up right on time.  He was dressed in uniform, truly polite as well as prepared for the work. He kept a neat and tidy worksite, kept us informed of the progress, and offered a detailed estimate. The worker had the cooling system up and running within the hour. When I mentioned the terrible reviews online, he told us that the business was under current ownership.  They had hired all new workers as well as completely changed their business standards.
