I also do not get the access to as much free firewood like my sister and her hubby do. However, I recently found that there are fake wood-burning stoves that are area heating systems. They are sold just about everywhere and they look unquestionably similar to the real stove. These decorative area heating systems run on only electricity but, displays a nice fake flame. I assume they won’t compare to a real stove. There is no way to get that smoky aroma, real flame look, as well as white hot heat of a real wood-burning stove into a plastic box. But some have little grated doors as well as being cute. That might be the closest I get to a real wood-burning stove where I am.
