Cool Days and No Need for AC

Having a vehicle is a huge blessing thanks to our modern world of technology. I am so thankful to be able to have a vehicle, and I know that there are many people in this world who don’t have one and probably never will. There is a downside to having a vehicle though and that is the fact that you have to maintain it. It seems that my husband and I are constantly paying to have something fixed in our car, and it can get pretty frustrating after awhile. We had to replace a transmission, and a few other things while our car was still under warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty expired about two years ago, and now, our air conditioning quit. I stopped working recently because of some health issue, and we just don’t have the finances to get the air conditioner fixed right now. Of course, it had to quit in the middle of June, so we have had to go most of the summer without air conditioning in the car. Last week, there was one day that the temperatures dropped below eighty, so we decided to go out for a day of hiking and boating. I can’t tell you how nice it was to ride in the car without sweating to death. We simply rolled the windows down as we drove, and it was the most pleasant road trip that we had had in a long time. I can’t wait for the fall to come so that we will be able to enjoy some more road trips as a family even if we don’t have the air conditioner fixed by then.
