My best friend works at a local movie theater, and he often gets us in to see movies for free. It’s not something he advertises because if he were always bringing in crowds of people, I imagine his manager wouldn’t let him see free shows anymore. Last weekend, we got a real treat when the air conditioner at the movie theater stopped working. Because it did, they had to cancel the movies and wait for an HVAC technician to arrive. The HVAC technician ended up coming earlier than promised, and the theaters were ready to go a couple of hours before planned. Because of this, my friend and I got to watch a new movie, and we had the theater all to ourselves! It was a lot of fun. The A/C was running at full speed, so the place was nice and comfortable. We picked out the seats that we liked without having to step over other people, and there was no one there to distract us the entire time. The whole thing made me wish I could watch movies like that all of the time. It was unfortunate that the air conditioner gave out, but it ended up working to our favor. I told my friend to pay attention to those cooling systems because if they ever start acting up again, I’d love to come in and take advantage of the empty theater! There’s nothing like having the entire place to yourself for a good movie. Maybe one day I’ll rent out the theater and invite all of my friends and family to join us.
