I’m so blown away – I honestly can’t believe this has happened. What a glorious night to be remembered, and an event to be cherished. No, I’m not talking about a significant wedding or birth in the family… I’m saying that last night we went out to a fancy work gathering, and I was actually comfortable the entire night! I know, that never happens! I’m always cold and covered in goosebumps throughout my normal daily activities, so it’s not surprising at all that this trend continues into the evening. Whenever I try to dress up for a fancy meal or get together, I wind up being way too cold and ruining the outfit with heavy top layers of clothing. I wind up spending the entire time huddled near my boyfriend for warmth, with my arms and sweater wrapped tightly around my body for a few extra degrees. This abrupt freeze has happened at literally every formal dinner, wedding, or anniversary party that I’ve ever attended. It’s made me wonder if every restaurant keeps their thermostat painfully low or if it’s just a problem with my internal temperature regulation. Either way, last night I was in temperature heaven for the first time in my life! We walked into the venue, and the air felt so toasty warm as it engulfed my entire body. I immediately commented on the wonderful air quality and asked the nearest host if he know what sort of heating they used in this particular location. That’s when he told me they actually had the indoor air handling system fail, and all the heat that delighted me was actually just pouring out of the back kitchen.
