Horse barn heating

My spouse and I are avid horseback riders – always have been, and that’s coincidentally how we first met. Each of us gets involved in local competitions and we even own a horse barn on our property! In the summer, the city kids come out to help with little chores here and there – clearing trash trees around the paddock, helping bring in the hay, that kind of stuff – in exchange for riding lessons. In the winter, it’s just my spouse and I maintaining order. In the barn, all of us have electricity running out to it, which helps us get everything done in the little sunshine given to us. By the time we get back to the house from our work in the barn, it’s dark out and freezing cold. Thanks to those power lines, our horse barn can be kept sizzling-hot if needed with the use of more than one electric space heater! These little space heaters put out heat that doesn’t dry out the barn. Powered by infrared technology, they work to warm up living things, rather than just creating hot air and blasting it at you. This helps us greatly in the Winter when we’re feeding the horses, as well as brushing them down after letting them in for the night. Since the space furnaces are electric, they don’t give off any emissions like CO2. This means these little space heaters are a lot safer for our horses than a propane tank might be. While the proper furnaces are harder to work with due to them being unable to bring around anywhere we please. However, what is safest for us and our horses is what matters most! No matter how cold it gets in the winter, we think that we’ll start warming up with the space heaters ourselves once the horses are safely tucked away in the barn.
