Improving the air conditions

I have been attempting to improve the indoor air quality in my house. Before buying any air enhancement product, I am going to try things around my home. One thing I discovered is that opening windows is a great idea to freshen the air conditions. The outside air is actually far cleaner than what you are breathing in the home. The outdoor air is always cycling and getting more fresh. The home has the same, stale air conditions. Exhaust fans are useful in the kitchen to cycle that dirty air quality. The fans can get rid of the grease and bad smells to let them dissipate around the house. All the other tips I read are about cleaning the home. Clean your HVAC unit, change the air filter faithfully, vacuum and even get a doormat. I have attempted all of these air quality tips and I don’t know if they did any better. I think I might have to relent and purchase some things to assist me. I may get a humidifier or dehumidifier to control the moisture in the atmosphere. I could purchase UV lights to freshen the air I breathe in. I may even invest in an air purification system that not only cleans the air, but takes away all the gross smells in the home. None of these things will cost too much and could be installed in my climate control. However, I don’t know if I should put all this work in to just get cleaner air. How important a deal is clean air quality? Probably pretty important.
