I just bought a modern condo and moved in last week. It is a bigger condo than I am used to and I care about every inch of it. The only issue the I have is with the AC unit. This condo has 2 Heating plus Air Conditioning systems, a single for the upstairs plus a single for the downstairs. The units are still new, just being installed six months ago. They both have a pricey smart thermostat for each of them. I have been home all month and I cannot get the condo down to 74 degrees in the middle of the afternoon. I live where it is warm and it is currently summertime. I have been busy moving furniture around, clearing out boxes, hanging up pictures. I have been really working up a sweat and the condo is not helping. Now, it could be because the previous owners took all the blinds with them when they left. I am hoping that when our modern blinds come in 2 weeks, that the condo will be able to cool off in the middle of the afternoon. Night time and afternoons are okay, in fact, I am wearing pants plus a long-sleeved t-shirt because I am cold. But, in the middle of the afternoon, I hear those units working hard and I recognize the vents plus are blowing cold air. I just don’t know why the condo won’t cool down. My spouse comes in from outside and he says it feels great. That’s only because he was just outside plus yes, 74 feels better than 95. I told him, I will wait until the blinds are installed before I want to get someone out here to check on things.
