Teaching is a strenuous task; Most of us do not get enough respect for their profession, & the administrators at schools are often overpaid & don’t take care of their teachers like they should! Too often, kids don’t like studying, either, so they make your life hell if you get on their bad side, however all that stuff is bad, however at least the people I was with and I work inside in air conditioner, right? Well, that’s what I consistently thought, too, until the year when one whole building of our high school was forced to gowith no air conditioner, however it was so awful, however we live in the south, & it is sizzling hot all year long, even in winter time, however living without air conditioner is just one more reason for kids to be bad. And let myself and other teachers tell you, you just haven’t lived until you have enjoyed the stink of third grade boys who have no cooling system to calm their raging body odor. To make it even worse, I was recovering from surgery that I underwent that summer. I underwent abdominal surgery, & the really last thing I really needed was to have to work without a cooling system, but every day, I got so hot, & that included the surgical process that was trying so difficult to heal; Without a cooling system to cool myself off & to combat the humidity in the room, it took forever for my incision to get better. I never want to teach without air conditioning ever again, & just to make sure I would not have to work teaching kids all day long with no air conditioner in the background, I absolutely quit teaching.
