After twenty years of marriage and three children, my wife decided to leave… She was happy to start a new family with her secretary, and I was happy to see her leave. All three of our children were already graduated from college… Two of them were married with children of their own, and our youngest child is engaged to her high school sweetheart. They were shocked, when they heard this news. I spent my whole life being a spouse and dad, and I did not know what to do with my time. I attended some workshops at an adult annex, and they recommended I try a new hobby. I looked at a few pamphlets, but none of them looked very interesting. I did not want to spend all day in an office, and I did not want to work in the medical field… When I looked through the HVAC program pamphlet, I was intrigued. I never pictured myself in a uniform, but learning about HVAC seemed love fun. The learning annex was surprised by my interest in the HVAC program. They found a local commercial HVAC supplier to sponsor some of the money for my tuition, then on the weekends, I worked in the office answering the phones. I love meeting new people, and I love talking to HVAC clients on the phone. While I learn about the HVAC program, it’s nice to have a part-time job. When my wife left, I thought my life would be over. Turns out, my life might not have even begun yet.
